René Andrade Martina, also known as Kai Tak and Eachother, is an electronic music artist. As a close collaborator in graphic design, I have witnessed his approach to ambient music and modular synthesizers. Being like a brother to me, our conversations around his music have always been natural and profound. His music evokes nostalgia and reminiscence towards intangible and personal spaces, making it seem as if it was not thought of before being heard, as if it emerges out of nowhere.
Recently, we spent a day together with my Mamiya RB67, waiting for the perfect moments to be captured on film. The resulting photos are a document of those unexpected moments that arise when least expected, a visual exploration of the spaces between our conversations.
